SINGAPORE, 14 July 2025 – Levanta Renewables (Levanta), Southeast Asia’s leading renewable energy platform backed by leading growth market sustainable infrastructure investor Actis, has signed a 1 MWp rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) power purchase agreement (PPA) with K.M. Packaging PCL (K.M. Packaging), for their manufacturing facility in Samut Prakan, Thailand.
Under the PPA, Levanta will replace the facility’s existing rooftop solar system with a newly optimised, high-performance system. Over the 25-year term, the system is expected to generate approximately 33 GWh of renewable electricity—avoiding nearly 20,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions.
By powering its operations with a new solar PV system providing on-site renewable energy, K.M. Packaging reinforces its commitment to producing innovative, environmentally friendly packaging products that meet its customers’ sustainability expectations. The new solar system is expected to reduce the company’s reliance on grid electricity, supporting its goal of cost-effective, energy-efficient manufacturing.
This partnership supports Thailand’s national climate ambitions, including achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 and net-zero emissions by 2065. It also contributes to the country’s target of sourcing 30% of its energy from renewable sources by 2037.
